About Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith has extensive mortgage lending background. He owned and operated his own mortgage company for over 20 years in the Southwest part of country. As President & CEO of Prime Source Mortgage, Inc., Jeff grew the company to over 300 employees, 30 offices in 10 states and took the company public before exiting in 2015. He has done some consulting for 2 top 10 lenders in the US and has recently joined the Trusted Rate, Inc. team as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer.

Jeff earned his Finance degree from West Texas A&M University and his graduate degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He is married to his amazing bride, Cindy for over 40 years and together they apply their client-centric culture to their loan clients.

Jeff is also an author. He wrote a book, “Get Your Affairs In Order, My Heart Story”. Jeff was given only 24 hours to live by his cardiologist when he was 40 years old, and Dr. Mehmet Oz performed a life-saving open heart surgery on him …… He’s like a good Timex, he just keeps on tickin’.
